The PEI/iff's mission is to give filmmakers an opportunity to showcase their films in the magical surroundings of this little island getaway, and to promote and showcase the beauty and benefits of filming and bringing their next project to the serene landscape of Prince Edward Island. All while opening the filmmakers to a new audience and using their experiences and promotion to support and promote their film's success on their road to distribution.

The PEI/iff also strives to offer indigenous productions and filmmakers the opportunity to showcase their own films to the local community and alongside other filmmakers from around the globe.
